Baptiste Bourgougnon is a French dance artist, educator and academic leader whose career bridges performance, pedagogy and international collaboration. A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Baptiste began his professional journey with Nye Carte Blanche in Norway before performing with Luc Petton, Gilles Schamber, and Maryse Delente in France. From 2002 to 2006 he was a member of Scottish Dance Theatre, performing in works by Rui Horta, Didi Veldman, Janet Smith and Liv Lorent. His performance career continued across Europe with companies including Ballet Lorent, Acronote, L’Éolienne and Company Chameleon, blending contemporary dance with circus and physical theatre.
Alongside his performance work, Baptiste developed a passion for teaching and artistic mentorship. He taught for leading organisations such as Rambert, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and the Royal Ballet School, before joining London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS) in 2012. At LCDS, he has held key academic leadership roles, including Head of Technique & Performance and now Director of Higher Education: Performance and International Development, where he oversees the BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance and leads the school’s global partnerships across Europe, Asia and South America.
Committed to expanding the reach of contemporary dance, Baptiste has spearheaded collaborations with LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), SeoulArts (Korea), and the National University of Arts (Taipei). His work advocates for inclusive, globally connected and artistically intelligent approaches to conservatoire education, preparing future generations of dance artists to shape the art form and the world around them.

With years of experience as a teaching faculty at the National Ballet School of Canada, Mr. Rowe will guide the students in improving their technical skills required for classical ballet along with tips & secrets to being a successful ballet student.
Iain Rowe was born and raised in Canada and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School. Following his graduation, he joined the Royal Danish Ballet, where he performed in a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire including world premiere creations by Jiří Kylián and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. An increasing interest in the training of dancers brought him to New York City, where he attained his Master’s Degree from New York University. Since returning to Canada, he has broadened his pedagogical knowledge and experience through the Teacher Training Program for Former Professional Dancers at Canada’s National Ballet School. He continues to work with a diverse range of arts organizations internationally. He is based in Toronto

After a 20 year performance career as a dancer in both Europe and with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Turid has had a further 25 years of experience as a ballet coach, rehearsal director, producer and Artistic Director. She has been involved in the dance industry in New Zealand for nearly all of her professional life.
Trained at New Zealand’s National School of Ballet (now New Zealand School of Dance), she began her professional career with the Royal New Zealand before heading to Europe and performing in the Koblenz Ballett, Germany for 5 years. She also performed in the prestigious Bayreuthe Festspiel each summer from 1982- 1986. Returning to New Zealand to she became a soloist with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and after 13 years became their Artistic Co-ordinator and assistant to the Artistic Director. In 2003 she was appointed the company Ballet Mistress remaining in the position for 11 years. She has not only coached and restaged ballets, but has also choreographed a number of works for the RNZB. Turid is currently a classical tutor at the NZSD. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) out of QUT and has written the history of the New Zealand School of Dance for its 50th anniversary publication.
As well as teaching at the New Zealand School of Dance, Turid is also, currently, the Artistic Director and Producer of the project-based BalletCollective Aotearoa. Turid is passionate about developing homegrown talent and finding opportunities to help us grow and nurture what is unique and extraordinary about dancers from Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Lily Ewing is the founder of FORME, dedicated to supporting dancers through pointe education, coaching and personalised pointe shoe fitting. She began her training in Auckland, New Zealand, and went on to complete full-time training at the New Zealand School of Dance. During this time, she undertook international training opportunities and danced with a range of respected ballet companies and schools, broadening her perspective and experience.
Following her training, Lily transitioned into teaching, specialising in competition coaching, RAD exam preparation, repertoire, contemporary dance (NZAMD and APDA), and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). Her work focuses on safe dance practices, clean technique, and developing the strength required for long-term progression.
With a strong dedication to pointe work, Lily is certified in pointe shoe fitting and pre-pointe assessments through the Juon Pointe system, having trained closely with Esther Juon. She currently serves on the board of the Pointe Shoe Summit, contributing to its mission of advancing pointe education and safety worldwide.
Through FORME, Lily offers pre-pointe assessments, workshops, coaching, and fittings across New Zealand, guided by a deep commitment to dancer safety and wellbeing. Her work focuses on building strong, considered foundations that support each dancer’s development, allowing confidence to grow and artistry to thrive.

Ballet Workshop Waiver & Release of Liability
Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk:
I, the undersigned, understand and acknowledge that participation in a ballet dance workshop involves physical activity that carries a risk of injury, including but not limited to muscle strain, sprains, falls, and other potential injuries. I voluntarily choose to participate in this workshop and assume all risks associated with my involvement.
Medical Fitness and Consent:
I hereby certify that I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent my participation in ballet dance activities. In the event of an emergency, I authorize the workshop organizers to seek medical assistance on my behalf and understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.
Release of Liability:
I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the ballet dance workshop organizers, instructors, staff, venue, and any affiliated individuals or organizations from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or costs arising from my participation, including any injury, illness, or accident.
Media Release:
I grant permission for the use of my image, video recordings, or photographs taken during the workshop for promotional and educational purposes without compensation.

Once payment is made for the dance workshop, it is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to:

No refunds will be issued for participant-initiated cancellations.
I choose to participate in classes, performances, workshops, and other activities at Great Indian Ballet Competition of my own free will and certify that I am in proper physical condition to take part in such activities.
Release
By signing this document, I release Great Indian Ballet Competition and their directors, owners, staff, employees, volunteers, associates (collectively referred to in this document as “GIBC”) from any liability or claim that I or my representatives may have against GIBC with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property loss or damage that may result from my participation at GIBC.
I voluntarily release and forever discharge and hold harmless GIBC from any and all claims or demands for damages, loss of services, costs and expenses, injuries, attorney fees, and any other call for reparation from any and all injury to me or my property arising in any way from my participation in dance classes, camps, intensives, workshops, performances, troupes, the use of GIBC equipment or facilities, and any activities associated with GIBC.
Risks
I understand that there are risks of physical injury associated with, arising out of, and inherent to dancing. These risks include the potential for slips and falls, sprains, strains, dislocations, soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, podiatric conditions, and other risks not specified here.
Understanding these risks and the potential for others not listed, I agree to personally accept and assume all of the risks present in my participation at GIBC. My participation at GIBC is entirely voluntary, and I choose to participate in spite of the risks.
Medical Treatment and Insurance
I understand that GIBC does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial or other assistance in the event of injury or illness, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance or support. I authorize GIBC to obtain necessary medical or dental treatment, including first aid, ambulance transport, hospitalization, or such other care necessary for my health and welfare in an emergency. I release and discharge GIBC from any claim which may arise on account of any first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with my participation in GIBC activities or with the decision by any representative or agent of GIBC to consent to medical or dental treatment on my behalf in an emergency. I understand that GIBC does not carry or maintain health, medical, dental, or disability insurance coverage for any participant. I agree to take responsibility for full payment of any emergency medical or dental costs related to my GIBC participation regardless of whether I have insurance coverage.
Photographic Release
I understand that GIBC may take photo and video recordings of me during my participation in GIBC activities. I convey to GIBCfull rights and interest in these recordings. I understand such recordings may be used in advertising or other published materials, physical or virtual.
