Launched in 2018 December, GIBC was & still is India’s most exclusive ballet competition.
This all India competition is organised by Mumbai’s Indian Ballet Boutique IBB to promote & strengthen the Indian ballet community worldwide.
Over the years, our jury has welcomed many international faces from USA, UK, Sweden, Croatia, South Africa, Serbia, Japan, Singapore & Spain. While GIBC’s deserving winners are gifted with international training scholarships, a first of it’s kind for India.
GIBC 7 was an extraordinary celebration of ballet excellence, featuring a distinguished panel of judges: Iain Rowe from Canada’s National Ballet School, Sarassanan Chaisinlaipin from Bangkok City Ballet, and Tamara Vile from the Association of Russian Ballet and Theatre Arts.
This year, we proudly expanded our global network by welcoming English National Ballet School and Ballet Manila to our prestigious list of scholarship partners, offering participants more pathways to world-class training than ever before. In addition, we introduced scholarships to Broche Ballet, focusing on adult dancers, and provided exclusive personal classes with Bethany Kingsley, former Principal Dancer with Scottish Ballet, and Rachel Jackson, RAD Tutor and international adjudicator.
As always, dancers enjoyed unparalleled sponsorships to leading institutions including YAGP, Canada’s National Ballet School, Singapore Ballet Academy, and the National Ballet Academy New York. Special workshops were conducted by all members of the Jury, creating an inspiring and transformative experience for both students and teachers
GIBC 6 was sponsored by the Progressing Ballet Technique, a revolutionary ballet program by Marie Walton Mahon, Australia. Participants were offered the best global sponsorships to world famous YAGP, Canada’s National Ballet, Singapore Ballet Academy, National Ballet Academy New York and many more. Special workshops were organised for students and teachers by all of the Jury members.
Back to offline after two years, with the largest participation of 120 dancers. From Canada’s National Ballet to National Ballet Academy New York, GIBC 5 gave away some of the best scholarships yet. A special masterclass was taught by Josef Brown from The Australian Ballet.
GIBC 4 was held online yet again with FREE participation. Sharing this platform with 100+ participants from across the globe like Malaysia, Singapore, Egypt, Indonesia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, India, etc. Special pointe shoe seminars & a ballet masterclass.
